Alex Stern

Alex Stern is a native of Melbourne, Florida. He graduated from the University of South Florida in 2010 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Social Science. This is Alex’s is the owner of a semi-pro team in Tampa called the Tampa Bay saints. The team was an expansion team for the Continental Basketball League in the summer of 2011 and Alex was the Head Coach for the Tampa Bay Saints at that time. He has a long list of teams that he has coached or is coaching. Alex currently is an Assistant Basketball Coach for the women’s semi-pro basketball team called the Tampa X-Factor. During basketball season, Alex coaches at a private middle school in the Tarpon Springs area. He was previously the Head coach at a private middle school in the Tampa area for 6 years before taking a position in Tarpon Springs. Coach Stern also is involved in coaching AAU boy’s basketball. At one point Alex was coaching two different age groups for AAU, and 17 and under boys basketball team, and a 13 and under boys basketball team at the same time throughout the summer. Although the 17 and under team was not able to enter into a tournament, the 13 and under team played in a tournament that ended up placing second. In his spare time Alex is a student of basketball. He is always working hard to study philosophy, strategy, watching game film, creating plays, and interacting with other coaches. Alex is dedicated to being the best possible coach he can become and puts in overtime to accomplish his goals. Coach Stern enjoys playing an up-tempo style of basketball that is focused on strong defense and fundamentals.

Scott Andrews

Scott Andrews is a Tampa native and founder of Fit Club Inc. (fitclubinc.com) He has over 10 years experience as a certified personal trainer. Scott is nationally certified through the International Sports Sciences Association and the International Fitness Professional Association. Scott served as the Fitness Coordinator for the City of Temple Terrace for 6 years before being promoted to Recreation Supervisor. Scott’s expertise is in sports preparation for sports requiring explosive movements, agility, and conditioning. Scott has also coached basketball at several different levels over the past 5 years. Scott's holds a Bachelors degree in Business Management, a Masters degree in Public Administration, and is currently working on his Doctorate in Organizational Leadership, but fitness has remained his passion. In addition, he serves as a chair person in many statewide fitness positions. Scott also is part of the Tampa Bay Saints organization along with Alex Stern. For the Saints, Scott serves as not only the strength and fitness trainer, but also as an assistant coach. Scott is also CPR/AED certified through the American Red Cross.
